Courtrai – Barrel Aged Golden Spur Saison

Back on tap for the first time since 2012, we bring to you Courtrai – a wine barrel aged version of our spring seasonal Golden Spur Saison.

On tap starting Saturday October 25th – we’re excited to re-release Courtrai for the first time since 2012 – it’s even better than we remember it!

Our 2012 version was aged in a fresh 2-year Syrah barrel which imparted a robust wine and oak flavor that complemented the banana and clove flavor in Golden Spur. However, our current vintage is slightly different. Aged in the same wine barrel as John Chester Belgian Strong Ale – this Courtrai has a mellow oak and wine flavor that is a delicious footnote to the banana and clove flavors from the saison yeast.

We were only able to make 55 gallons of this brew, so be sure to stop on by before it’s gone. But stay tuned – rumor has it there may be a batch aging in a fresh wine barrel aging somewhere around the new brewery.
